Love that these wool trousers are half lined. Sizing is perfect.
I am reviewing my recent purchase. As such I have to include the fact that the sizing on the pants I received came up really small. I normally wear a 34-35 in all other pants, so I ordered a 36 to be on the safe side and I couldn't even get close to doing the button up. I returned them and have a 38 which is still snug. Even allowing for the fact that the tweed is a very stiff material there's no way the 36 I received was the right size. Which brings me to the return. If you are ordering from Canada you pay duty and HST on the goods as they arrive. The return process is now that you give them to a 3rd party shipping company and order another pair through the regular process, so you have two orders. When your second order arrives you have to pay duty and tax again. Peter Christian don't process your refund for 35 days after they have received your goods. You then have to go through the process of claiming your duty and tax back from the Canadian government, but you only have email as proof that the goods are no longer in Canada. I have not yet seen either my original purchase money back or my tax. In truth you are probably better off swallowing it and ordering again. The entire overseas return process seems very broken to me. But I wouldn't have had to do it at all if the pants hadn't been laughably small in the waist. Ironically the 42R jacket I ordered, which is the size I have for countless other jackets, is clownishly HUGE. I cannot be bothered to return it, so I will have to get alterations done locally. Having said that, the tweed is beautiful, the workmanship is very good and the overall quality is there.

The size said 38 waist. they were not. the other pants I purchased were 38's these was size 36
I found the Bracken Brown Harris Tweed Pants to be of exceptional quality and values. I recognize clothing sizes are somewhat standardize, however my experience was the waist and length on this pair of particular trousers ran surprising small.

Took a few tries to get the right size but totally worth the effort.
I've heard back from the store about this but the fit of the waist is off from the rest of trousers put out by PC's. all the other trousers with a 38 inch waist fit just fine but these are a very snug fit, being made in a different factory doesn't change the fact that they stand out are not matching the rest of the store's product. as the top line pants that is really disappointing.
