We went south this spring. Not far in spirit, but far enough to find better light.
The brief was simple: sun, sea air, and clothes that make sense in both. The kind you reach for without thinking and look better for it. Mornings started quietly. A fisherman working the same stretch of shore each day. Citrus trees lining the streets, their scent cutting through the warmth. Juice pressed fresh, no ceremony, just good timing.
Print, Done Properly
Our Hawaiian shirts held their ground. Light, breathable, and confidently patterned, but never overworked.
As Glen joked: “If the shirt’s loud, keep the rest quiet - unless you want to start your own parade.”
Our models couldn’t help but catch the attention of locals, some stopping mid-walk to have their photos taken - a certain charm that seemed to attract the ladies wherever we went (and maybe a few curious gentlemen too).
Color, Considered
Chinos in pistachio, terracotta, and morello. A shift from the usual, but an easy one. They sit well with everything else, which is rather the point.
We shot as we found things. A passing cat. A breeze that did the styling for us. No need to interfere.
A note worth keeping: A lightweight sweater over the shoulders. Practical, but more importantly, right.
Unscripted, As It Should Be
Not everything went to plan. A mistimed step, a wave with other ideas, and Glen ended up in the water. No harm done. Better, if anything.
Lunch became a ritual of good things done simply. Fruit, bread, vegetables, houmous, and whatever caught Rod’s creative attention that day. His combinations remain bold.
Travel Light
Panama hats packed flat, folded along their natural line. No structure lost, no fuss made.
A thank you to Farini Ristorante. Good food, done simply. The sort of place you return to without discussion.
By the end, it all made sense. The light, the pace, the clothes. Nothing forced.
Just a collection that works, wherever it lands.
